These Terms and Conditions are in place for the safety and welfare of our clients.
We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will come into effect immediately. It is the responsibility of our clients to read these terms and conditions in full. Please make sure you have read and understood the terms and conditions before you confirm the booking. By placing a booking you are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to them.
Methods The Doghouse FTF is a member of The Animal Behaviour Training Council. As part of being a member of this association, The Doghouse must follow their code of ethics. This includes using force free, scientifically based, modern methods. Harsh handling is discouraged with the use of positive reinforcement taking place instead. All training is confidential between dog trainer and client.
The Doghouse FTF does not allow the use of any piece of equipment that can cause pain and discomfort. This includes slip leads, choke chains, pinch collars, shock collars, citronella collars, rattle cans, spray bottles, compressed air canisters or any other device or method that can potentially cause harm, pain, suffering or fear to the dog. Any clients who continue to use such methods including harsh handling despite being asked not to do so will be asked to leave class or the one to one session with no refund given.

ALL training is done by a reward system; food rewards, toy rewards. We will be using a lot during the session so please adjust your dogs feeding schedule accordingly.
Bookings;
All bookings (classes, one to ones or agility sessions) must be paid in advance via the payment options, which will be found in your booking confirmation email. Until payment has been received, the booking has not be confirmed. By placing & paying for the booking, you are deemed to have read and understood these terms and conditions. Pricing may change over the course of the year to coincide with the economy.

Courses
Once a course has started, no refunds will be given for missed sessions or choosing to not attend further sessions.

One to One Training Session;
Payment for one to one training sessions are for the number of sessions stated. Payment must be made to secure the session. Any session paid for must be taken within a 5 month period of that date. Non attendance will result in the loss of the payment. Payment MUST be paid 7 days prior to the session starting. No payment will result in releasing your suggested dates.
Cancelling a scheduled appointment will result in the loss of the payment and/or session unless 48 hours notice is given prior to the session where the session shall be rearranged. The appointment is for a set time period of 1 (unless otherwise agreed). If the client is late for the session it will still end at the stated time regardless of that session being cut short. If the instructor turns up to the appointment and the client is not at the address every effort will be made to make contact with the client. If the client cannot be reached the instructor will wait for a ten minute period before leaving. The client will not receive a refund and will lose the payment for that session.

Although the booking system has automated reminders, THE CLIENT is responsible for ensuring they have noted all sessions which have been agreed.

If I, Vicki Watts, The Doghouse FTF, deems that your dog is in pain/discomfort, you will be advised to seek medical attention with your registered veterinary practice. And if I feel the lessen needs to be cut short due to pain/discomfort, I will be at liberty to do so.

Weather - If I deem the weather to be poor (too wet/cold/hot) I will contact you to reschedule the session.

Online - If the signal is deemed poor or insufficient, The Doghouse will contact you via telephone to continue the session.
The Doghouse FTF reserves the right to change the timing, date or venue of classes or one to one sessions in order to provide a high quality service or where it is necessary for reasons beyond our control.

Parking at any venue is at your own risk. We take no responsibility for any damage to your vehicle or belongings. Any damage to any property we are at needs to be paid for via your insurance or alternative methods.
